padding silently through
the sleeping batch
i head for the sea,
wrapping the sound
of the waves like
a cloak around me,
digging my feet in
the sand, singing a
quiet karakia,
greeting this land.
this is so lovely … i can feel the sound of the waves and the sand under my feet when i read your poem … lucky girl
